As a plein air oil painter, I work on location in the landscape. This way of painting enables me to capture the color of nature's forms which I brush onto the rich texture of linen. The sparkling illumination of the sun energizes the landscape and accentuates its beauty. Whether walking down a garden path or sitting at the water's edge, I emphasize the wondrous qualities of the scene before me. When viewing my oil paintings, I hope you experience the same joyful response.

My formal art education began at the Brooklyn Art Museum in N.Y. From there I studied at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In 1980 I received an MFA specializing in oil painting and printmaking at the University of Delaware. After teaching landscape painting and drawing at the college level and privately for years, I now concentrate on painting in my garden and on the Eastern Seaboard.

My work has been included in juried exhibitions at the Arnot Art Museum, Elmira, NY, The Delaware Art Museum, Immaculata University, the Philadelphia Sketch Club, The Rehoboth Art League, West Chester Art Assn., PA and the Woodmere Art Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Also I have been invited to have solo exhibits at Cecil Community College, North East, MD, Salisbury State University in MD and Penn State University, Media, PA.
