   Massachusetts realist artist Jack Standish works in watercolor and egg tempera.  Jack has been influenced by the works of Andrew Wyeth, Edward Hopper, Maxfield Parrish and many others and their ability to tell a story with a single image.  Painting objects and settings that reflect his interests, Jack hopes to get the viewer involved as they try to decide who was drinking the cup of tea  .... what is the subject of the open book ....thinking about the time they experienced a similar shaft of light streaming across the floor .... making the story their own.
