A Philadelphia native, Lawrence J. Davis received his formal training in art at West Chester University in the heart of rolling and bucolic Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Lawrence’s work has been seen in exhibitions and galleries in Southern New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York City. His work is included in private collections as well.
His work reflects the timelessness of Americana in the form of landscapes and barnscapes. His work reflects that of the "Brandywine Valley" School of painting made popular by the Wyeth Family and Howard Pyle.
