“Apple for the Teacher” by Jackie Kane
 
This apple reminded me of the classic “Apple for the Teacher.”  Apples make great still life subjects with their vivid reds, often combined with naturally complimenting greens and yellows.  This “Red Delicious” was all about the red!  A dark but vivid and shiny red, this apple was just begging to be forever preserved as a painting.
