“Mourning Dove in Snow” by Kathy Ruck
 
The mourning dove, although its plumage is of muted colors, is a favorite bird of mine. There is something I find peaceful about them with their soft cooing call and the way they bob their head when they walk. This one was hunkered down on a branch outside my window on a snowy day.
