  Rich Schwartzman has been reporting on the events in the greater Chadds Ford area for more than 19 years as writer, photographer, and editor. In 2008 he earned second place in a statewide news photography competition. His interest in photography began in his youth but didn’t catch fire until he was stationed in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. On returning to school after the service, he earned a degree in communications and his advanced journalism class was in photography.
